Companions

Girls who follow you, fight and wear your armour.

Updated October 12, 2026

Jenny, Ellie, Bia, Luna and a tamed Bee can be companions. Galath and kobolds also follow their owner, but they have rules of their own: see Galath and Kobolds.

Commands

Every companion’s menu has the same block:

  • Follow me. She becomes your companion and follows you. From now on only you can open her menu.
  • Stop following me. She stops following you and is free again.
  • Set new home. She remembers the current spot as her home.
  • Go home. She heads home, in style: she throws an ender pearl towards her home and teleports.
  • Equipment. Opens her gear.

How she moves

A companion follows your path, opens doors and gates and jumps over gaps. If she falls too far behind or gets stuck, she teleports to you. She finds you after you die or change dimension too.

Equipment

A companion’s inventory has these slots:

  • Weapon: a sword or any tool.
  • Bow.
  • Helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots.

Armour shows on the girl. Armour from other mods works too: its texture is wrapped onto the model automatically. Bulky 3D armour from mods isn’t supported yet.

Combat

A companion attacks mobs near you on her own. Up close she hits with the weapon in her slot. If she has a bow and the enemy is more than six blocks away, she stops and shoots.

Bee doesn’t fight: she’s a support companion and simply flies after you.
